Daniela is a trilingual REALTOR® who is native to Ecuador, living in Iowa, and passionate about making people feel welcome, not just in their house, but in their community, their way of life, and their place in the world.

Her life started in Ecuador, where she was raised in an entrepreneurial and visionary family. Her parents started Vatex, a well-known umbrella of fashion retail stores, and later expanded into Vatex Home, where we were surrounded by the high-end floor, walls, countertops, marble, fixtures, and even solar solutions. Growing up, all around her were discussions about quality, aesthetics, and function. She was taught from an early age that a home is not just built with materials but with intention and heart

But it was her grandparents who truly showed her what home means. Her grandfather was an architect and my grandmother a property manager. Together, they created spaces where families could thrive. They taught her that every wall tells a story and that design should always serve the people who live within it. Their influence is the reason she became a REALTOR®. They inspired her to do more than sell houses. They inspired her to help people build meaningful lives through the spaces they choose.

 She came to the United States to study Fashion Marketing and Merchandising, never imagining that Iowa would become her forever home. During her last year of college, just as she was preparing to say goodbye to Iowa, she met Zach, who completely stole her heart. They made history with a Zoom wedding during the pandemic, and now, years later, they’ve built a life here rooted in love, values, and a deep appreciation for community. They live in Iowa with their dog Rosie, who has a wild little spirit and a heart even bigger than her personality. Every day with her is a surprise, filled with laughter and adventure.

 Beyond real estate, Daniela is the founder of Altrd Apparel, a modern conscious fashion brand, and the co-founder of Altered Fitness, a personal training company she and Zach created to care for our community’s health. Both brands reflect her core values: creativity, intention, and a deep desire to help people feel good inside and out.
